There’s no better way to celebrate our nation’s independence than getting outside, hearing music, hanging with friends and, of course, catching a live firework display. Here is a list of events planned for Tuesday, July 4 in the Lake Norman Area:

Mooresville
A firework display is planned July 1-4 on Lake Norman at Queen’s Landing, beginning around 8:30 p.m. each night.

Davidson
While Davidson doesn’t have a fireworks show, it does have a town parade that residents are invited to join the town’s celebration: Davidson’s 4th of July.

• Parade marchers meet at McEver Field, South Street – 5:15 p.m.
• Festivities begin – 5:30 p.m.

Huntersville
Birkdale Village 4th of July Celebration — Family friendly entertainment and activities, 10 a.m.- 1 p.m.
